About

Pigsty is a boutique floral design studio based in Venice, California.

Engineered in Colorado, Pigsty was born from years of working around flowers, a family of gardening florists, botanical writers and nature lovers. Led by Hope Sword, we are a small studio of creatives who marvel at colors and intricate roadside blooms, wild tablescapes and beautiful parties.

We design with local, foraged & seasonal flowers, delicious garden roses and sometimes imported lady slippers and tropicals – non traditional and containing lots of movement.

We take on select weddings, editorials, events and the occasional landscape design.

Our work has been seen in Vogue, Martha Weddings and Goop, to name a few.

Pigsty Studio is based in Venice, California but works around the globe.

The Small Print

Our full service wedding minimum is $10,000 but we can accommodate budgets for mid-week parties of all sizes.

Pia + Davide

Pasadena, ca

A beautiful wedding at home, Pia and Davide married among all their friends and some of our favorite vendors. Italian fare by Felix & dessert by Gjusta, we brought the Sicilian hillside to the arch and created an asymmetrical wild bouganvillea backdrop for the ceremony. We filled the tables with gardenias, lemons from the property and lavender. Pia’s bouquet was filled with garden roses, blush lisianthus, gardenias and blushing bride. We filled the back of the vintage Alfa Romeo with Olive branch and Queen Anne’s Lace, a perfect getaway car. Planning by Melissa Andre. Images by Sara Noel Photo.
